The Board
The Airport Board of Directors consists of 10 volunteers representing the City of Morehead and Rowan County. Five are appointed by the Mayor of Morehead and approved by the Morehead City Council, and the five are appointed by Judge Executive of Rowan County and approved by the Rowan County Fiscal Court. Members are appointed to staggered four year terms. The Board manages the general business affairs of the Airport (see By-Laws). As a Special Purpose Government Entity as defined by KRS 65A.010 the Board insures compliance with the provisions of KRS 65A.020-65A.100.
Meetings
Regular meetings of the Board are held on the last Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Airport except when conflicts with holidays occur or a quorum of members cannot attend. The meetings are open to the public.
