?Morehead-Rowan County Airport Board Minutes – Special Meeting
June 18, 2015
Chairman Tim James called the meeting to order at 6:03 PM in the Terminal Building Conference Room at the Morehead-Rowan County Regional Airport. Other members present were Charles Derrickson, Bruce Mattingly, Harry Clark, Jim LeMaster, Porter Dailey, and Ron Oliver. Don Laferty, Tom Fossett, and Mike Gray were absent. Guests present were Tracey and Mike Potter – Fixed Base Operators, and Barbara Marsh – Assistant Secretary-Treasurer.
The purpose of the meeting was to hear presentations from, and interview, representatives of three engineering firms: Stantec, Hanson, and Garver. Each firm’s representatives were given 15 minutes to provide an overview of their firm’s history, qualifications, and services followed by a 10-15 minute period for Board members to ask questions.

Stantec went first and was represented by Ms. Susan Rich, PE, and Mr. John Verburg, aviation project manager. Hanson represented by Mr. Barry Stolz, PE, Ms. Melissa Jenkins, PE, and Tim Haskell, PE made the second presentation, who were followed by Mr. Wes Mittlesteadt, PE and Mr. Ryan Sizemore representing Garver.
Following the presentations, the Board voted unanimously to go into executive session to discuss the firms’ personnel, qualifications, and services after a motion by Dr. Mattingly, seconded by Mr. Dailey.
After returning to open session, a motion to accept Garver as the next consulting engineer was made by Dr. Mattingly, seconded by Mr. Dailey, and was approved unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:23 pm.
