REPORTS

Tracey Potter gave a report on the status of the FBO and Airport activities. She advised the
status of fuel sales, grounds maintenance, and hangar activities. Fuel sales for the month of
December were 588 gallons of 100LL and 400 gallons of JETA fuel. The monthly Community
Hangar report includes PHI Helicopter and Jamie Samuel for $450.00. The AWOS ID has
changed to KSYM. It now appears on the NOAA website under the METAR section. Maps and
approach charts should be updated next cycle. The T-Hangar bid opening was Tuesday, January
28th. The old snow plow needs approximately $770.00 in parts to make it usable with the red
Z71 truck. There will be another Pancake and Sausage breakfast on Saturday, February 1st.

Ms. Potter reported that the county road crew plowed during one of the snow events last
month, but was unable to help upon the second request. The insurance company for the
stranded Merlin sent R&C Aviation (Mr. Andy Ayres) to inspect the airplane. He said most likely
the plane will leave on a trailer. His phone number is (479) 394-4780 and cell phone (479) 234-
0161. Mr. Ayres is out of Mena, AR.

Ms. Potter reported that there were no 21×12’ folding doors bid in the current T-Hangar bid or
alternates. The whole purpose of putting the utility building on hold was because the bi-fold
doors would allow storage of the tractors and other equipment in the end of the T-Hangar
building. Also the automatic latches were not bid either or put in as an alternate. The price
difference for the two bi-fold doors is $5302.00 approximately.

2 each 21×12’ doors $3,651.00 = $7,302.00
2 each 10’x10’ doors $1,000.00 = -$2,000.00
= $5,302.00

The single lever door closers are much easier to use and are less than $300.00 per hangar. The
EAA Chapter trip on January 4 to the Dayton Air Museum was successful.
